Do you provide shuttle services?
We provide free transfers to and from the Hakuba train station or Happone bus station.
Are there snacks/refreshments for sale at the lodge?
We have a vending machine for drinks. 7/11 is within 5 minutes on foot.
Do you have discount ski-lift tickets and onsen-tickets available?
We have discount tickets for skiing, varying in price. We offer up to 20% off of the ticket window price. We also have discount onsen tickets 10% to 20% off the regular price. The least inexpensive onsen discount ticket starts from 400 yen.
Do you have discounts for long-term stays? If so, what are the terms/rates?
We offer a one month stay at 75,000 yen per month 2009 Dec 15th to 2010 March 16th. Terms are that you have to use a share room. We do not rent out double rooms for a month in the winter. Spring, fall and summer monthly rates are 30,000 yen per month. A double room can be booked for 60,000 yen per month.
What time is check-in, check-out?
Winter-season: 3pm is check-in time and check-out is 11am. Late check ins and outs can be arranged with prior notice Summer-season: 4pm is check-in time and check-out is 10am. Early check in and late check outs can be arranged. We are flexible about leaving bags in the storage area, and we allow guests to check in early if we are ready for them.
Is it possible to send luggage to the lodge beforehand by takkyubin?
Yes, we have a contract with Kuro-Neko Yamato that makes this possible.
Can we send luggage home by takkyubin from the lodge?
Yes. Kuro-Neko Yamato will pick up your luggage at our lodge while the guest doesn't need to be there. We have all the necessary forms and can offer a slight discount for our guests.
What are some recommended restaurants/Izakayas in the area?
Non-Jae is an Izakaiya the closest to us. They give a 5% discount to our customers.
Do you have people drinking and partying all night in the lounge? If so, do they keep everyone awake?
Not really, we ask people to keep the volume down at night. We are not a wild lodge but more of a relaxed place where you can meet people, enjoy Hakuba and do it without spending a fortune. Our policy is to keep the volume down from 11pm. As we get many couples, things tend to die down early.
Do you have shampoo, body soap and towels available in the shower-room?
We supply everything (including towels!) to guests.
Are there onsens nearby the lodge and cottages?
Yes, there are several: Echo land: walk 8 minutes / Adult 600 yen, Children 400 yen / closed on Thursdays Misuzuku Walk: 10 minutes / Adult 500 yen Children +3 years old 250 yen, under 3 years free / closed on Thursdays (open everyday during winter). Discount tickets are available.
What's the menu and price-list in the bar?
Nothing as of yet, the vending machine will sell beers, juice and sports drinks.
Is it possible to bring along pets to stay at the lodge?
Sorry, no pets.
Are there hospitals nearby?
A clinc is less than 3 minutes by car.
Are there any back-country ski routes you can recommend?
So many. Feel free to ask in person.
Do you have a recharger for keitai phones?
Yes, we have extra rechargers if guests forget their own.
Do you have a safety-deposit box available?
Yes, we provide a safe for our guests to use.
Should we lock up our skis/snowboards at the lodge?
We have never had a theft, however you can lock up your equipment if desired. We lock the room from the outside at night.
Do you provide rentals of snowboard, ski, backcountry equipment?
We have some rentals, but they are limited to mainly super-fat skis and mid-range snowboards. We recommend Spicy Rentals as we get a 10% discount, plus the return policy is they come and pick up the equipment. You have to pick up the gear at time of rental, but you don't have to return it as they will pick it up for you.
